The Facts and Figures
Malaysia covers a total area of 330,434 sq km of which 124,967 sq km is Sarawak, while Sabah occupies 74,398 sq km.  The mountainous interior of Pahang has the highest peak in West Malaysia with Gunung Tahan standing at 2187m high, while in Sabah, the Crocker Range boasts one of the highest mountains in Southeast Asia, Mount Kinabalu at 4101m.

In Sarawak, Gunung Mulu harbours the world’s largest natural cave systems. The largest river system at 563km, is the Rejang in Sarawak.

Because of the high annual rainfall in its catchment, the volume of water flowing from it is estimated to be one of the world’s highest.
